Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gemistry mobile application ("the app"), published by E&T Apps. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Gemistry provides gemological reference content, a personal gemstone collection tracker, quizzes, and testing guidance for educational and hobbyist purposes. Content is provided for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional gemological certification or appraisal.

3. Accounts

You may create an account using Sign in with Apple, email, or continue as a guest. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Gemistry offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock additional features:

• Gemistry Pro — £5.99/month or £49.00/year
• Gemistry Lab — £12.99/month or £99.00/year

Prices may vary by region and are shown in your local currency at the point of purchase within the app. Features included in each plan are displayed on the subscription screen before purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price of the selected plan.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or by tapping Manage Subscription in the app.
• Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Cancelling a subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.

5. Standard Apple End User License Agreement

Gemistry uses Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). By using the app, you agree to the terms of the Apple Standard EULA.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your Gemistry account at any time from within the app by going to the Account tab and tapping Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your locally stored account data and vault entries. Any active subscription must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID settings, as Apple manages all billing. Deleting your app account does not automatically cancel a subscription.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse-engineer it, interfere with its normal operation, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.

8. Intellectual Property

All gemological content, design, and functionality within Gemistry is owned by E&T Apps and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content in the app without express written permission.

9. Disclaimer

Gemstone identification, price estimates, and testing guidance provided in the app are for educational reference only. Gemistry makes no guarantee of accuracy for valuation, authentication, or certification purposes. Always consult a qualified gemologist for professional appraisal.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, E&T Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on its content.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from the Account screen. We may suspend or terminate access to the app for violations of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
